Q: What areas do you service?

A: We serve Port Townsend, Port Hadlock, Chimacum, Port Ludlow, Quilcene, Marrowstone and Sequim plus Carlsborg. There could be a $50 set up fee depending on your location and access.

Q: I just bought a house/I am putting my house on the market/I am moving out, can you clean the carpets even though I can’t be there in person?

A: Yes, we work with realtors and property management companies all the time. We are able to pick up a key or have the realtor put a contractor’s box on the door. Please call and let us know if you are unable to physically be there so we can figure out what will work for you.

Q: What is the set up fee for?

A: Some residential areas were not designed with us in mind. When the technician has to run the hosing up, down and around, it can take more time than we have scheduled for your appointment and more work for the technician. It is at their discretion and if you have any questions, please contact us.

Q: I have a table I can’t move by myself, can the technician help me?

A: Moving any furniture is at the technician’s discretion. Please let them know what areas you would like to have cleaned completely and what furniture would need to be moved. We absolutely cannot move any entertainment centers, TVs, or beds.

Q: Should I vacuum before my appointment?

A: Please do! Any carpeted areas that you want to have cleaned, should be vacuumed the day before. Doing this will help keep our machines clog-free and last longer.

Q: How often should I have my carpets professionally cleaned?

A: For most households, we recommend professional carpet cleaning every 12 to 18 months. Homes with pets, children, or allergy sufferers may benefit from cleaning every 6 to 12 months. Regular professional cleaning extends carpet life and maintains indoor air quality.

Q: Are your cleaning products safe for kids and pets?

A: Yes. All products we use are Green Seal Certified, detergent-free, hypoallergenic, and VOC-free. Your home is safe for children and pets to re-enter as soon as the carpet is dry — typically within 24 hours.

Q: What is IICRC certification and why does it matter?

A: The IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) is the leading standard-setting organization for the cleaning industry. IICRC-certified technicians are trained in the latest cleaning methods, equipment, and safety practices. Rogers Carpet Cleaning’s technicians are IICRC certified, meaning you can trust that your home is in qualified hands.

Q: Do you offer commercial carpet cleaning?

A: Yes. We clean commercial carpet for offices, retail spaces, and other commercial properties throughout Jefferson and Clallam counties. We recommend commercial carpets be cleaned every six months. Contact us to discuss scheduling around your business hours.

Q: My carpet still feels wet the day after, can you come put more fans out?

A: If the carpet is still wet to the touch or your socks are wet after walking on the carpet, please give us a call and we can come test the moisture level and/or put out fans to help dry the carpet.

Q: I just had my carpet cleaned, why did this spot come back?
A: If your spot looks anything like this after it’s dry, it’s most likely wicking. This is when there is a stain below the carpet, usually in the padding, that gets brought to the surface while cleaning. The carpet acts like a sponge and pulls the stain up as it dries. If this happens, please call us to schedule a time to come back out.

Q: How long will it take for my carpet to dry?

A: The carpet should be completely dry within 24 hours. It might be dry sooner if the fibers are less dense or the weather is warmer. Keeping air flow over the wet carpet will help it to dry. Turning on any overhead fans or portable fans will help as well. Please keep your heat at the temperature you normally do during the day and open up some windows for good airflow.

Q: What if I used a spotting product on the stain before I called to schedule?

A: If you’ve already applied a spotting product to a stain, please let your technician know before they begin — and if possible, leave the product out so they can check the active ingredients. Some products can set stains or interfere with professional cleaning solutions.

Q: Is hot water extraction (steam cleaning) safe for all carpet types?

A: Hot water extraction is safe for most carpet types and is the cleaning method recommended by the IICRC and most carpet manufacturers. During your free assessment, your technician will evaluate your carpet’s fiber and construction to confirm the best approach.

Q: Do you offer emergency carpet cleaning or water damage response?

A: Yes. Rogers Carpet Cleaning responds to emergency situations including water damage, flooding, and urgent cleaning needs. Call 360-385-9303 for immediate assistance.
